    The Stuecklistennummer = parts list number is different. 030 is only used in E31 840 1993 - 1995 http://www.zftranspart.com/index.php...ge_id=id_5hp30
    Differences 010 and 030 https://www.meeknet.co.uk/Gen_BMW/ZF_5HP30_Gearbox.pdf
Do you also have the transmission control module from the E31 installed?

If it was filled correctly and the shift cable was adjusted, try unplugging the TCM and selecting D and R.

Is it possible that the torque converter was not seated properly when you installed the trans? You need to rotate it and push it in to seat it correctly. If it does not stay in that position, there is a risk that the pump may be damaged when you mate the trans to the engine.

If the trans has a separate cooler, you could check that the pump is working by disconnecting a cooler line and running it to a bucket. You would then run the engine briefly to see if ATF gets pumped out.
