Hello, so I have a BMW E34 520i from 1989 and it doesn't have any speakers in the rear, only in the front.
I have been talking with a scrapyard near me that has a ton of broken crashed bmw e34's that they take parts from and they're saying they might have the parts I need to mount my speakers in the rear.
But.. when I look on the rear window shelf, the grills are there and the insulation(I guess that's what it is) has the cutouts for where the speaker and the speaker mount should be, so my question is:
If I get the speaker mount and the right kind of speakers and put them in I should be able to mount those speakers in the rear window shelf and wire them up, right?
Wiring depends on the set up. There were a few different ones through the E34 lifespan all the way up to the 10 channel passive amp setup in the boot of my 540 which would be wired quite differently to the early 520s
Speakers have a come a long way, modern head units also have lots more tweaks and features. But they tend to look out of place next to boxy old e34 console. At least my Kenwood X8019BT can be set to match the orange dash light scheme.
