2.5 to 2.8 wiring issue

So I’m suck. I have swapped a 2.8l engine and harness in to my 323is. I have just about every wire connected when I realized the wire harness doesn’t have vanos or injector harness plugs. So my 2.5 harness has this adapter that plugged into the crank sensor, vanos, and injector harness and then had a plug that tied it into the wire harness.

The 2.8 harness already has a plug for the crank sensor so I guess it doesn’t need this adapter? But where are the plugs for the vanos and injector harness. I’m lost at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know little to nothing about wiring and little about the many differences between the seemingly vast array of I6 BMW engines. However, I have considered doing a similar swap should my engine get to the point of needing to be replaced.

What year is the car and which engine did it originally have? (M52B25,etc)
What year was the swap engine and which one is it?
