    Ugh the difficulty but I can't even afford it so no reason to make a big complaint about it.

    I say buy the cheapest thing you can get, weld the diff, extend the e-brake handle, and just drift it. Doesn't even matter if it's an auto!

    Or if you want a very driftable E39, I'll let you know if the sale falls through for some reason on my 540i6 with a 7875 billet wheel turbo (and working A/C).

    I got a sedan e39 for $2100, was running but overheated so Im in the process of gutting it, pulling the engine and everything else that wont be needed. I plan to keep the dashboard but cut the passenger side out, as well as doing a manual trans swap. So far so good for not having all the things I need to finish.....but it will be bought in the future. All i got to say is if you want an e39 and are commited to build it just DOOOOOO IIIIIIIIIIT.
