Hey everyone. I just purchased a new valence for my 87 E30 since my old one bit the dust. (see part 1).
I'm having trouble getting it to thread properly onto the nut and bolt assembly (4 and 5). Does anyone have any experience with this kind of matter?
Thanks!

I mean, just wiggle it around a little until it lines up. Make sure you have the correct screw, and make sure the nut is in good shape.

I don't understand. If I remember, the bolt slip into a slot or has a clamp on the bumper that fits into a hole in the fender and then a plastic nut screws on the nut. Do you have the proper clamping bolt #4

Number 4 and 5 work as a team. You first need to clip number 4 into the slot of the valance tighten it somewhat with the cap nut.. Then slide the cover on so the slot lines up. Then tighten #5 cap nut to draw #4 clamp towards the body to tighten the side of the spoiler to the valance. If you tighten everything first and try to slide the spoiler on it won't go.
