Great company with a great selection and excellent service. I have used them for many items on all of my cars, they also have a broad selection of fuel hose, vacuum line, etc in addition to hardware.

Thanks for the info, looks like they have a lot of stuff for the under-hood fuel lines that are hard to find.

They dont have head/exhaust stud bolts. nobody does unless you feel rich and wanna pay $5 per stud on an ECS or FCP or BavAuto.

Otherwise they are my source for pretty much every bolt Im replacing. Great site.

    Pinch nuts

M6x1.0, M6, 6mm Metric Conical Hex Lock Nut, Hardened
    Material: Class 10 Hardened Steel
Also known as Stover nut, all metal lock nut, all metal prevailing torque nut, all metal hexagon high nut, self locking nut, cone lock nut

I'm going to get some of these lock nuts. Anyone use these, as opposed to the nylon lock nuts? I have a question. Do they damage the bolt you use them on? I know these nuts are one time use only, but do they make the bolt one time use only also?

Great find. I was shopping for the M42, M7x45. I was able to clean them up well enough. I was considering these, but seemed too short:

7mm is an odd size. eBay has M7 by 39mm long if that would work. 8 of them for $22 shipped is $2.75 each. or 6 for $17.

How about a source for these little "hollow washer"s they use on the black oval interior screws (which you can get at Home Depot)

    bmw part # 5145180497

Cheapest price I've found is $3 each, if you buy 50!

There are some stover or elliptical lock nuts that are reusable multiple times. I think the BMW elliptical nuts are since they are grade 8 and zinc coated. They are great for high temp or high vibration spots. But they can strip coatings from the stud.

Another Bel-Metric fan here too! So many engineering and racing teams use them. Tony in sales is/was a BMW fan. I almost bought a E30 323i from him.

    Thanks!

I am going to convert my Alfa oil pan from bolts to studs, and use the stover locknuts on the studs to hold the pan on. This is because oil leaks out through the bolt holes. With studs you will be able to squirt some silicone sealer in the hole before putting the washer and locknut on to hopefully prevent the leaks. Would not want to use a regular nut for that as it would probably come loose.

Those stover nuts are pretty grabby, they might twist your studs out!

    Okie,

In that application you might want to use Curil T on the threads rather than silicone since it stays flexible and doesn't really cure. I placed some on my exhaust studs where they entered the head to prevent seepage and it has worked well so far...though admittedly it is still a young build.
