Ain't gonna fit under those flares, unless you plan on going 4x4 mode! I'm barely fitting 295s under my V1 flares with about 3/4" of spacers on the flare.

    I'm well aware of that

I have V2s, 285s hit inner fender and actually have rubbed away a good bit of flare. Going to get the wheel and tire on the car then figure out what way to go. Either Ebay universal or E46 M3 fronts grafted on.

More tire the better, as long as it fits the rim. I know a lot of people won't agree with me on that, but I'm not one to go off folklore.

I'm just hoping 345s are enough at 2500lb

Does anyone have experience in coating headers? I'm trying to reduce heat in the cabin and I feel coating the headers is a good idea. I'm considering swaintech and jet hot. The swaintech coating is about 2x as much due to shipping... jet hot is local. Is it worth double the cost for the white lightning coating vs the jet hot?

Doesn't exactly answer your question, but I wrapped mine. Reduced underhood heat dramatically.

I'm going to use Jet Hot. Dropping them off early next week in hopes of them being done by end of next week. I should be able to start bolting everything back up and start her up soon!

I've been working on my car a bit more as I've found more time. Tonight was primarily the fuel system. Had a buddy who came over who was a huge help.

To go over my fuel system design again, I will be running two pumps. The stock size pump will be moved to the driver's side, and the new Deatschwerks 300 will go on the passenger side. The DSP (driver's side pump) will discharge to the PSP return port. The PSP discharge will go to the C5 FPR with the return connected to the return side of the DSP. This should alleviate any potential starvation issues I may have while on the track.

Driver's Side Pump setup. Note the relay location. I am splicing the power line from the stock relay to switch my new relay that is for my new DSP. I wasn't comfortable with the potential current draw through the stock wiring so I went with this setup.

The DSP housing required the level float to be rotated 90°. I didn't take a picture of this as we were busy getting this done tonight.

Connected to the battery via the route of the stock wiring harness.

Uh, friendly reminder, be careful how you store stuff. There may be unintended consequences.

I had plans to upgrade my LCA from the beginning of my project with the understood timeline being 'next year'. Well, that is basically now. I've done a bit of research and I am highly considering picking up some SLR control arms this week. I believe Jakermac has these, correct? I will be going with the adj. lollipops for some extra flexibility down the line.

They make them in stock length and extended length. Anyone running these have recommendations on length?

I've been running the SLR Mini-kit (with E30 M3 aluminum control arms) for about 5 years now. I considered the tubular arms, but at the time Sean had no provisions for front sway bar ends links and the tubular arms weighed more than the E30 M3 arms.

    Made some progress this weekend.

I dropped my headers off at Jet-Hot on Monday. I was expecting it to take a week to coat them, but they were done on Wednesday.

I started re-assembling everything and had an issue with the steering shaft rubbing on the header. I didn't have this problem the first time I installed, but somehow did on Friday. I loosened up my steering rack and was able to adjust it slightly to create some space for the shaft. What a pain in the butt, taking the header & steering rack on & off...

Anyways, I was able to put my brake booster back on after connecting my clutch line & return. Installed all my remaining brake lines and started connecting some wiring on the driver's side.

Probably going with std. length SLR control arms. I've heard if you go longer, you can increase the min. camber you can run (e.g. min camber of 4.5°). Has anyone else experienced this?

It makes sense. Longer LCAs are intended for drift cars to allow more steering lock. It moves the wheel further out from the chassis. This pushes the lower ball joint out which means more negative camber. They have a modified upper strut mount that moves that out too to compensate, but if it's for road race/street/autocross, you can get all the negative camber you need without resorting to those measures. Go for STD E36 length.

Thanks Jakermc. I ordered the std length earlier this morning. New goal is to turn my car over prior to these getting delivered.

Went by a buddies last night to discuss cooling systems. I have some parts on order (expansion tank & fan) and am getting everything plumbed up this week minus the expansion tank and radiator.

I'm not sure if you're interested, but I have a used Koyo race radiator that you could have for pretty cheap if you're interested. Shipping would be from Blaine, Wa 98230 and I could send it by Greyhound (probably cheapest) if you don't mind waiting a bit.

    Love this stuff. Sub'd!

If you're not crazy busy, could you show a drawing of the fuel flow, pumps, etc of your fuel system setup?

    Thanks!
