Hello!
Has anyone ever used one of the E39 headlight adjuster repair services on eBay or something similar? I'm seeing these around and ~$200 seems like a pretty reasonable price for the parts and labor. The shops seem to have good reviews but I'd like to hear from someone first hand.
These are the two services that caught my eye specifically:

I'm open to recommendations if you guys have anyone in your network that has done this job before.

Some info, what build date on your headlights? If it's after 7/02, or was that 9/02? I can never remember, then the lenses need to be cut out. That would be extra work, and new lenses need to be ordered. OP, there is a build time stamp on the back of the headlights, between the low beam and the turn signal.

I've used bimmerautocare in the past. Good work, but with shipping lights being around $60 cross country now-a-days. I started doing it on my own.

Best pixel repair did my instrument panel and lights. Turned them around almost immediately. Can’t remember the price but wasn’t bad, shipping was though as I insured the whole package due to high replacement cost

I did my no-bakes through the back keyhole surgery style following a youtube vid (or was it a picture guide I cant remember). Fiddly but very doable and didn't take long. And I have big fat fingers!
Any body know the part number of where the 'ball' of the HEAD LIGHT VERTICAL AIM CONTROL unit mounts into? It's a plastic socket part...I shattered it trying to put the headlight back together. its #7 in the diagram. But I can not find that part it lines up into...

The PO for my vehicle removed the adjusters completely. Am i in for a headache regarding replacing them?
As long as the sockets that the adjusters fit into and the adjustment screws are still there you should be OK.
I reached out to BimmerAutoCar and My Pixel Repair this morning. Will update with what I hear back
