Hello guys. I have just bough a 1987 635csi, 1st generation.
i need to restore some parts.
Can you suggest places online where i can get mostly body parts such as door seals, rear view mirror, seat belts etc?
Thanks
Seals are dealer items. It is off and on when they have door seals which are very expensive. The trunk seal is readily found. Have you used realoem.com yet? It shows dealer items and what is no longer available. Prices shown will be on the low side so hold on to your wallet.

Ooohhh....... the driver door seal is unobtainium. Those of us who got one from the last batch waited in line 2 years for mobile tradition to produce them.
Hope you can find one.

Thats not good news.... is anyone selling?
Passenger, trunk and hood seals seem available. Hunt those down, and keep beating the brush for a driver side door seal.

Available where my friend?
Looks like Turner can still get the passenger door seal...

and the trunk seal.

Look around on the internet with part numbers, and you will find other suppliers. If you don't have the link already, you need to learn how to use realoem to search for all those tough to find part numbers.

EDIT: HOLY CRAP!!! I just checked on the Turner site and they say the left side seal is in stock.

There are 3 or 4 trunk seals on eBay. Range from $46-$105. A seller just had a pair of door seals listed on Sunday. Brand new in the bags for $300 each. They're gone.

300 isn't too bad, esp for that os driver side..
Missed it.... unlucky
Anyone have tips or a tutorial on replacing the door seals? Any special tools needed?
I haven't replaced something like this before - do you just pull the old ones right off and then the new ones wedge in?
I just picked up a left and right set for my 89' and am hoping to get it back to water tight
one of the top 5 toughest jobs IMO, because there aren't any nifty tools to make it easy, just liquid soap or food grade silicone....and determinaton. Some start at the a pillar edge and slide it up. Get a stiff plastic smaller flat tool, Maybe a trim tool ? I'll have to ask my son, he uses them. Push the interior edge in and then work the outer edge in. Works better with 2 people, so one can hold it in place while the other keeps working it in
