    Plastic wire connectors

    Hey guys,

This is my first post. I recently was given a 89 325i from a friend moving out of state. The car was sitting for a while and not maintained. I just replace the timing belt and I have to replace the oil pan gasket, to stop a large oil leak. The plan is for the car to be an autox build.

My question is about the plastic wire connectors, which are brittle and crumbling apart. Does anyone have any good solutions for replacing these or changing them. I think I found some to buy off Ebay. I just wanted to see what the community was doing if anything.

Either way, I appreciate the help and look forward to talking with you guys.

Many of the plastic connectors can be purchased new from BMW or other sources.

In the engine bay, for the coolant Reservoir. Also, I am completely missing the connector on oil sensor, the one in the oil pan. I just have three wires coming off of it. The car sat for awhile and it my first BMW.

With those two sensors disconnected, your dash lights low level coolant and low level oil should be on. Good if on, else you may have some other problems.
