Thought this was pretty cool. I'll probably never have a use but some people will! 72mm s300 what a monster.

Forced Induction has had a 71mm wheel for the s300 for years.

    ^^^ agreed!

BUT, I thought BW was releasing this by themselves?? I didn't know AGP was involved.

They are very budget friendly, but you need a lot of space. Diesel world!

This is as aftermarket wheel put into a S366sxe. Borg has there own 372sxe coming out as well. I think all these are overdoing it for the turbine size. I think the S369sx-e is the best compressor wheel for the s300 turbine size. Very interesting offering for those already on an S300. I would probably have bought one if I hadn't already gotten the S400.

Help me understand the point of this when most people are finding that the S369 currently offered is already too much compressor wheel for the amount of flow they are getting out of the turbine wheel.

Several of the supra guys went from the old S366 to the new S369 or S366 and gained very little, even though the compressor maps show another 100 whp should be available there. The EMAP seems to be high which lead everyone to believing the turbine wheel is the choke point....

So in conclusion I don't see the point of releasing a S371 from FP, or S372 from AGP or anyone else on that same size turbine wheel. What am I not seeing though that these companies are? Why are they producing even more compressor wheel for a exhaust side limited set-up already?

I was surprised to see the new SXE line come with the straight blade turbine, where the standard S366 came with the curved blades. Straight will help boost response at low rpm, but will increase drive pressure at higher rpms when compared to the curved blade turbine due to the lower efficiency.

IIRC, Blackpearl changed from an s366 to an s369xe an saw little gains as well, which would indicate it was choking on the hot side.

I can’t wait to see SG’s s472 do its thing, should flow really well.

The precision billet 7175 is a phenomenal turbo, fits on a bottom mount, can be had cheap, and also makes stupid scary power at 39 psi.

Yes agree, a 70+mm wheel utilizing the S400 series size turbine wheels makes a lot of sense. Plenty of flow on the hot side to support the new compressor aero from the compressor. Doing the same on a S300 turbine wheel is lost on me.....

Maybe BW wanted to give Garrett some competition in the mismatched turbine/compressor wheel sizing area?

im a couple weeks from being up and running. If your thinking about using it for an e36 I hope you have a sawzall. It’s massive. It’s like the size of a gt55.

compared to a s366, which is big in its own right

I think the bullseye S372 is actually an s400 with a standard S400 compressor cover and turbine housing right? If so it will be pretty close but the SXE turbo's use the race cover which is a good bit bigger. If you have room for a bigger compressor cover then you should be good to go. Note the inlet is also 5.5" instead of 5.0" on the standard cover. I can't see if you have any intake ducting in there.

    race cover vs standard cover

Yes and they just named it T4 S372 from what i know, when Bullseye released the S372 somewhere 2007 it only had a 5"standard cover ,after a few years they also got a 5,5" race cover for it .
I never bought the race cover because the standard cover already made great power at low boost with my engine.I only use a screen because there is no room for a intake,it will be very close to fit the S476sxe thats for sure .

If you don’t want to redo anything you could also send your turbo to Forced Inductions and have them machine your cover and put their 75 or 76mm billet wheel in it. They can swap in the 87mm turbine from the sxe too. People have ran in the 7’s on their 76mm compressor.
