If it doesn't crank, it's not an ews to dme problem.

It's a problem with ews and possibly key.

What can i do to remedy this ? Get a new key from the dealer? And after the key will my dme still need to be synced as i have a different engine, tranny? My last transmission went bad and would go into limp mode can i do a hard reset on the tranny computer to make sure it doesn’t put my new one in limp mode?

Start by reading codes in ews with inpa.

There's no such thing as a "hard reset"... just clear EGS codes once your car is running. If everything is working fine inside new transmission, it will not go into limp mode.

Keep in mind that the above is all assuming your engine swap was perfect and everything is connected. Also that your ignition switch is fully operational.
