So I have been working on my new ride and the steering wheel trim was gunked and scratched terribly. I removed the trim piece along with the panel around the cup holders and cleaned them. I decided to spice the interior a bit and painted them the matching gray of the seats. Looked smooth but also looked like gray primer. A gloss coating was considered but it also had a euro trash feel. I finally decided to go with the charcoal gray metallic , same as the exterior color. Turned out clean a subtle with a nice finish. Feels like the proper amount of class and customization. Opinions?bimmer5.jpgbimmer4.jpgbimmer3.jpgbimmer2.jpg

Looks like i'm not done with the steering wheel. Going to replace the wheel with one with paddle shifters and naturally make the shifters functional/ The steering wheel trim has two silver pieces that I will leave silver however I will most likely paint the surround the color of the car again. Does this ever end? Pictures to come.

Well the install was straight forward and simple. I bought the wheel on eBay for $152.00 to the door and had access to wire so the rest was a cake walk. Looks great, works great and is one more feature that is very cool. I recommend this as a neat upgrade to a automatic car. Opinions?
