Boost leak tested my JB 6262 at the inlet. Found a pretty decent sized leak that appears to be coming from the chra seam. Felt around the cover but couldn't pin point anything
Cover is good and tight. I also heard gurgling through oil vent line when I turned up the compressor psi. Which i don't think is normal...
Any experience with this ?

I’ve had both. Some compressor covers have an o-ring, some don’t. I pulled mine off and sealed it with RTV to stop the leak. The gurgling is air going past the turbo seals and rings and is of no concern.
I used rtv on my compressor housing as well, then I recently changed my setup to bottom mount and needed to clock the housing. Lots of frustration and many hours later I got the thing loose. Not so sure I would use rtv again. Maybe I was doing it incorrectly idk?

Also pte 6262 should take an oring at the compressor housing.
Thanks again, glad its normal.
When I reinstalled the compressor cover awhile back, pretty sure the O-ring was there. Maybe its leaking because I re-clocked it?
I guess I'll be pulling the cover this weekend. And you're right JimsR any work on bottom mount turbo is a total pain. I think I'm using a 13mm wrench I had to cut in half to get to the compressor bolts...
