Hi All, been a while since I last posted. Been on the road.
While I was out my paint job went to pot, is this anything short of a full respray?

I once had a highly regarded body guy tell me a full and proper repaint of my 540 would be at least $5,000.
He does older rare foreign vehicles. like Alfa's Ferrari's etc..
in light of that I looked into Plasti Dip..

I have a few rust bubbles here and there and figured I'd eventually grind those down, prime and then do the whole car with a few coats of some PD .. I used it on the kidney grill and the stuff hangs in there great..
That looks like just some corrosion and if it is you can hit it with a cutting compound and then polish it.

If it's delamination, then eastwood has a great guide. Though it's not an end all be all fix, it'll make it look miles better.

Thanks guys. Will take a look at some of these options this week.
Or you may want to find a local guy that can do a good job just painting those parts and blending it in.
I found a guy that did both bumpers, hood, roof and trunk and blended it for $700. No, its not a showroom paint job, but it is nice and presentable. The problem with dark colors is the fade over time. Mine is calypso and the doors and sides that are original are a lighter hue. Not noticeable unless you are up close and comparing the blended area. For $700, it was worth it.

Wow Id be happy with that for $700. Looks great
