AFM noise

Does anyone else's AFM make a subtle howling at idle. At idle, mine makes this low-pitched whistle that sounds like a howling wind. I've traced it to the AFM and when I push the door just a little bit more open, it basically stops. It's not that loud (around the same volume as engine idle), and the car has otherwise always run great.

It's done this for the several years I've owned it, and because it's always run fine (including emissions), I've avoided any sort of adjustment.

Any ideas?

you mean the volume air flow sensor / mass air flow sensor (MAF)? Mine whistles at idle but you can't hear it if the air intake filter and the intake tube is on. Is your current intake setup stock?

Yeah, the air flow meter. My intake is totally stock.
