The Car: 1990 750i DC02833 - January 17, 1990 production - In addition to being an L801 (National version Germany/Austria), it also lists S226 (Sports suspension settings), the meaning of which, I have no idea. So here is the first part of the problem...
It's time to do a major brake job, but there seems to be some confusion on rotor size. In the ETK it shows part number 34 11 6 757 746 for the front rotors as being correct for a National Version Germany showing the size as 324X30. When I go searching for brake rotors, after getting past the part where a 750i is not listed and trying the 750iL it comes back with rotor sizes of 302 as fitting this car. It doesn't matter what manufacturer, it seems. I have tried Power Stop, Centric etc. and they all show 302.
I have the entire service history on the car and it shows that the brakes have been done before, but not who's rotors were installed. Consequently I'm kind of stumped. I really don't want to try to order the rotors from BMW, that could break the bank. I have had the car on my lift and know they are NOT the twin piston calipers, but are indeed the single piston calipers that are shown in the ETK, but that doesn't help with the rotor size.
Ideas?

the change was 01/90 to the larger brake rotors and 4-piston on the 750i/il German version. Better double check on the rotors what is installed, that is just the month of change. ETK says based on your VIN

Erich;
Thanks for the prompt reply. I knew about the date change in January, and was having trouble finding the correct rotors, but you got me pointed in the right direction.
I have looked at the calipers, they are single piston, not twin piston and the rotors are vented. ETK says to use the 324x30 rotor with either caliper. The ETK won't let me select the non-vented rotor, but I can select both the single and twin piston calipers.
I will measure the rotors on the car and go from there. I was afraid I was going to have to order the rotors from Germany/EU, so thank you again for the pointer to RMEuropean.
