Was just going to post the link myself...

Absolutely the most annoying and frustrating Doug DeMuro video I've ever seen.... I really like the guy, but it's so tough to watch a non-E31 expert try to explain these cars while trying to offer up cute little quips about the 'quirks'. It was like watching the live video version of the first 20 comments on any new 8 series BaT auction.

Wow. If that guy had said "quirk" one more time, I was ready to take the US-market dumbo-ear mirror off that CSi and beat him with it. I watched two or three of his other videos just to see if it was an anomaly, and it seems it was not -- you couldn't pay me to spend an hour with him in person.

    Cheers, John

I'm with you! I thought his grading scale was a bit convoluted....you can't compare a 30yr old design and performance to current offerings.

I agree with the comments here, but in the end I think his video will serve the e31 community well. He has lots of viewers and most of them know even less about the 8-series than he does. When all is said and done, he was fairly positive about the car.

I don't put much stock in his grading scale. It's flawed from the start because he measures old cars against modern standards. Not really relevant IMHO.

This is true for all of his videos if you happen to own the particular car he is reviewing.

Forget all the stuff in the first 90% of the video - just watch him smile when he drives it. Says it all!!!

Exactly!!!! I have to take these “experts” opinion with a grain of salt. As we all know, the real “experts” are the E31 owners that are on this forum.

We all may not agree with some of the things that we do to our cars but we can all agree that we are proud owners of this special vehicle and share the same passion for the E31.

This guy has always been a little "off"... kind of like he is is really a shoe salesman down at the mall who decided to "become" an expert on cars... something he really knows very little about. His "Doug Score" makes me cringe, every time I hear it...

In the end, he has a legion of people that parrot his opinions.
