    Lowest offset for E36 stock height?

    Planning to get ebay fenders for my E36 sedan. Pics below are just for example:

    This one looks like ET13:

    What's the lowest offset that can fit on stock height?
    Any estimate on the offset that i'll need for R17 square setup, tires will be 245/45/

    Its currently on staggered Style 18s 225/45/R17

    245/45/17 is a tall tire. Flares or over genders require cutting and welding of the inner sheet metal in the rear. Offset depends on the width of the flares. With ET40, 245/40/17 fit but more is a challenge, as is less offset with that width. For example, people run 17x8 ET20 and have to go down to a 225/45/17 for fender clearance. I’d probably get flares and use a 1 inch spacer on a wheel in the ET20 range if you insist on pushing the wheels out as far as possible for some reason.
