Has anyone run into this?
I removed my fog lights when swapping my euro bumper and now I get nothing when I turn the key. Dash lights up and solenoid clicks but starter is silent.
Is a major circuit open now?
Removing fog lights wouldn't cause a no start. Did you unplug anything else or remove any fuses in the process?
Either that or just coincidentally your starter went bad. you can try to tap the starter with something if you can get to it or jump it and see if it turns over.
Removed the aftermarket radio the PO put in and im in the process of installing a period correct blaupunkt. But I cranked the car to move it to where I did the bumper work (fog light removal). There it died. Maybe the system still had a charge?
Like i mentioned try to hit the starter with something in case it might be freezing and just needs that little push. If that does it then you should start looking for a new starter. Check all of the fuses first.
If that doesn't work, check for power at the starter when you crank with a test light or multi meter. If there is no power at your starter, check the starter relay if it energizes properly or try to energize it manually.
Sounds like low battery.
