My 525I touring has dipped lights little better than candles. I thought Joe Lucas died before BMW came along. Any idea's for upgrades please ? thanks.
Tony.
Hey Tony! I'm kinda speakin' here without asking any qualifying questions...so, fwiw...
Recommend checking the adjusters and rebuilding if needed. Don't forget to check the level adjuster on front susp. if so equipped.
Regarding any upgrades. Hmmmm...the stock lights do a darned good job with clear lenses, good adjusters, and proper adjustment even when running stock bulbs.
For the halogens, I've tried using Silverstar bulbs...but these cars seem to eat them for lunch...so I stay with stock bulbs. No experience with PIAA bulbs, but maybe those would be good...???...better...?
I run the stock xenon bulbs in mine so no experience with different bulb suppliers or housing upgrades.
Hopefully you will hear from some of the guys that have done these $6M man style headlamp assembly rebuilds/upgrades/superswaps
Lucas let a lot of smoke out of things in my old Triumph...lol...
Let us know what you find as the cause of the " I can only see 10-feet in front of me..." visibility
