    Door Handle base (passenger side)

I ordered a complete cover & base for passenger side. It arrived today but it has a hole for the key. There is no key hole on my passenger side (see photo). However, when I went to RealOem.com, there is only the photo showing door handle cover & base with a key hole. Does anyone else have this same situation? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=41_1066

    Maybe it was Stygar-ized?

I think those non-lock trim plates are the same as used on the E-36 rear doors.

Ron eliminated BOTH key-locks on his '01 Coupe, preferring to use John Firestone's handy little modules and a transmitter. We had pointed out to him that if the battery went dead, he'd have no recourse to get into the car (he'd also done away with the hatch lock access). I know he talked about putting a small hole behind the license plate to trip the hatch release, but I don't know if he ever carried that out. Brent?

Correct Randy. I saw on e bay the nonlock handle like mine was for rear door on E46.
