I picked up a 92 325is (5/92 build) with basically a gutted drivers side door . The window , latch and outside handle are still in it and the wiring . The door will not open from the outside , so that needs to be looked at .
I have a 94 vert door on a parts car. Will most of those parts swap over ? I am pretty sure on the window regulator and motor will .
Other thought is to just swap the whole door from one car to the other , will that work ?

My understanding is that almost all parts from the Coupe will work on the Convertibles and vice versa other than the trunk lid. This is body related, not internals, so maybe someone else will verify.
I am thinking that it will work, but I am far from an expert on the subject.

Correct on vert vs coupe . The question is more 92 vs 94 door internals .
I know the sedans had some differences between 92-93 and later

Wish I could help with that. I swapped a passengers door on my 325is for one off an M3, it was pretty easy. There was the lock issue, but it unlocks with the drivers side so I didn't mess with it. I really didn't want to get into the internals, and the regulator was good on the M3 door.
I hope someone else knows about the internal info for you. I can't imagine why it would be different, but sometimes engineers change things for the hell of it.

I think that the 92 and 94 will be the same, except (perhaps) the window motor. There was a few years where the window motor needed a module, but the '94 does not need the module.
