    Car sometimes does not start

My car sometimes does not start even if the battery is fully charged (measured voltage at 12.8V). When I turn the key, nothing comes on, nothing on dash board, no radio, no lights. Just completely dead, no even a click. Remote key does not work after I take out the key again. But if I leave the car overnight or disconnect the battery and reconnect after a couple of minutes, it will start again and the problem won't happen again for weeks or even a few months. Any idea what could be the problem? A failing ignition switch is my guess but like to see if anyone has encountered the same problem before.

    Thanks!

Do the interior lights come on when you open the door when it's like this? If not, it's more than an iggy switch. Had any water leaks inside the car, esp on passenger side front?

Happened to me a month ago. Come to find out, my battery terminal connection was not tight (positive terminal).
