Thanks for the help and information! Time to sell

    Hey guys,
The time has come, and sadly I have to sell my Zed. It is listed in the classifieds section.

With that, just wanted to stop by and say thanks for all the advice and knowledge shared. It was 3 years of fun!

The VIN decoder says our cars were built as identical twins, born two weeks apart, mine on Oct 4, 1996 and yours on Oct 14, 1996. But the older car has 90k less miles. Interesting that the black tape around the windshield has been removed, which I also did.

yup, I remember when we first checked a while back. When I said thanks to the folks in this forum, you are definitely one of them! If you go over the posts, you were always willing to help and had a great answer. Any feedback on the sale post is appreciated!

I thought the price was low, considering the excellent condition, the favorable ownership history, the recent cooling system and suspension replacement, and the maintenance documentation since new.
Even considering it's a 1.9, with a lot of miles, about the oldest build date there is, so no roll hoops.

I though about pricing it higher, but based on age and engine, perhaps $500 or $1000 more would have been the most in my opinion. The price reflected on the ad, however, is pretty firm. I have my eyes on a well cared X5 and therefore is priced for a quick sell. The only part where I disagree with you is the high mileage concern. 137k miles over a 20 yr period yields about 6850 miles/year, which is well below the estimated 10-12k yearly average miles. The X5 I am looking at has relatively high miles, but the maintenance and history is impeccable. My $0.02, Id would take a well taken of car any day over a 10k box of surprises w no history.
