Interesting....time to find a young tire kicker that has no money..and no mechanical aptitude to fix the car, but will convert it to a drift missile...and wants a payment plan....

.....and the worst for sorta sale thread continues...

Besides the circus antics. The whole lot is for sale. Paperwork, seats, wings, a whole bunch of wheels, tools, tires, original parts... blah blah

    $40k Who's talking now?

Moderator, move this thread somewhere where I can sell the car without someone else taking half.

Tempting. Would have to be a hell of an s54 for 20k haha. I'm confident I could throw one in myself for 6-7k junkyard, 10k with some preventative maintenance. I know the popular opinion is to put an engine in and stick it on BAT, but for the time being I like the idea of keeping it as a clean slate for the next owner to choose which engine to put in it.

Yeah 10K will get you a solid engine with all preventative maintenance, but all the harness’s required, the tuning and the ancillary items/changes are not cheap. Add in that little bit of labor left over and you’re sitting at about 20. You could probably pull it off yourself for around 14 to 16. It’s well worth it trust me...I have a spare Z3M S54 gauge cluster in my cabinet sitting here… 9K redline… Just putting that out there.

Get this thing away from me, please! $40k for 1 of one-hundred and twenty or so, albeit non running but all original parts included.

Is this officially a FS thread?

If not, I’ll point out that the last clean, low-mileage M3 LTW street car I’ve seen for sale recently went for $40k. If this one has been modified, wrecked/repaired, and now has a blown engine, I’d expect it to sell for a lot less. Swap in another engine, and it’ll be worth even less.

You’d be better off rebuilding the stock engine. That’ll probably preserve whatever value is left in the car. Collectors really care about numbers matching etc.

This car needs work. With the lack of information in this "for sale" ad, its hard to justify any number close to $40k. It did provide a good laugh to my Tuesday morning.

An S54 swapped LTW sold for around 40k last year and you want 40 for one that's been wrecked and needs an engine... Good luck with that.

yeah.. seems like someone has heard or seen EAG trying to sell LTW's and thinks his is worth that too... those examples were pristine... i would take PITT M3's offer, you should see his build... i did the same build and the cost is far more that 10K with maintenance..
