Hey guys noob question here. I just joined the forum. Looking to remove my motor/trans from my 325e next week and im wondering what the process is for the wiring harness. Should I disconnect everything or can i just unplugged the ecu and pull the slack through the firewall amd leave everything plugged in? Just wondering what would be best. Also if anyone has any tips on the engine removal process I would appreciate it. Thanks guys 👍🏽
you can for sure do it that way, unplug from ecu and a few other little connections by the ecu and than pull through the firewall. these older bmw are very easy to work on so if you have done this type of stuff on other manufacturer vehicles, you will be good to go on these cars.
No e30s again.
Great thank you!
Note, however, that the big firewall grommet is not sold separately, so be a little bit gentle with it.
