I know a guy that did that. He sent me a pic today of his car in the Palomar mountains with snow in the background.
Ive driven 500 to 1200 miles for each car I have purchased. Just be patient and the right one for you will show up. It's worth the wait.

LOL thanks man- yesterday I had one of my local E31 buddies bring over his supercharged 850i V12 (red over black) 6spd, so we could talk 8 series stuff, but he ended up staring at the M3 the whole time! He said anyone that would have bothered to come see it in person would have bought it, unquestionably.
Last week, I *actually* drove the car about 30 miles for the Arizona state mandated emissions check (total B.S.). I was on pins and needles the whole time trying to take back roads while avoiding idiots, rain clouds, dump trucks, and bad roads...A very hard thing to do in Tucson this time of year. I also asked the technician to *not* do a hood press check, but of course they did anyway. But the car made it through emissions and is good to go for another 2 years!

Couldn't ask for a more honorable excuse than that Ryan- Thank you for your service!

Did you end up checking out the Black M3 sedan? If so, what happened?

Man you are all over the board on what you're looking at, especially compared to what you claim you're looking for. You gotta decide on the non-negotiable stuff vs. the negotiable stuff, list it all out in detail, then be ready to pull the trigger immediately. The good stuff will be gone really quick especially if you're looking in the 12-15k sweet deal sweet spot. Raise your budget and there will be less buyer competition. Lower it and pick through some dirt looking for a diamond in the rough.

Or even this one which happens to have a Dinan supercharger on it. Kinda sketchy on chassis mileage.

Ya i dont really have time to be fixing paint and dealing with dents and interior too much. And that supercharged one is being sold by a crazy man. I called him and he was saying some ridiculous shit. Also I'd prefer the 96+ years for the extra torque but if a perfect 95' comes around I'll snatch it up. I just gotta ve patient. Thanks for looking out for me tho. THE HUNT IS STILL ON!!!

I'll keep an eye out for you and I think the there are M3's that are still with the original owners. I got mine from the Original owner with 129k miles and dealer maintained, mechanically perfect and needed a little help interior (leather rejuvenation) and exterior (from light scratches).

Mine is also more or less original owner. My dad bought it new in 1998/1999, and I bought it from him in 2008 (96K miles at that point) when he got an E92 M3. All its maintenance was done at BMW dealerships from when it rolled off the lot through 2010 or so when I started doing things myself.
So yeah they're out there, but probably pretty rare at this point, as it would be for any 20+ year old car. People don't keep cars that long.

Hey guys. Thank you all for your help and support. I finally found my car. I live in san diego and saw one listed up in san francisco, flew up there and drove down the next day. So happy i made that decision. 1995 M3 in alpine white with black vader interior 99k miles on the clock. I'll post more pictures after work today. Needs a little work here and there but nothing i cant fix. Got a bunch of cool stuff for it coming in the mail already.
