2012 BMW 528i will need new brakes within the next 2000 Miles. Needsome suggestions.

Hello Everyone.

So my dash says that I’ll need to service my brakes in the next 2000 Miles. My car just hit 80,000 Miles. Should I take it to the dealership or to an Independent BMW Mechanic? Is there a significant cost difference? Has anyone performed this service on their own? Thanks in advance.

Of course you can never go wrong with factory brake parts. At the moment I have textar pads and rotors on my car, so far so good.
