Thrust Arm removal

Yes, excessive grinding is correct but I was highly motivated to avoid removing the stabilizer bracket. I'll be searching the flea markets for a low-clearance 22mm (7/8") wrench to do the arms on my '90 535 this summer.

Now on to my auto transmission issue - I'll post this one separately.

Got it! Ground down a 22mm Home Depot special and it did the trick. Note to anyone else trying to get this nut off. Attack it from the wheel side rather than under the car because there’s more clearance for the wrench.

Got a little carried away there, son. I'd be very surprised if that will hold tight enough to loosen the nut. Good luck.
