    Door Handle Panel Clip

    Hey there guys!

Today I was repairing the broken door actuator bracket on my 735iL to fix the lazy unlocking on my driver side door. To my disbelief, none of the clips were broken and none of them broke in the process!

Unfortunately I found that the center retaining clip behind the door handle wasn't broken as I had previously thought (the door handle was not solid when pulling the door closed), but instead isn't there at all.

I can't seem to find any good pictures online and I'm having trouble finding the correct clip. Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks!

I had not, but looking over it none of the door-related diagrams seem to show anything related to the door card.

Edit: unless it appears it could be 2 or 3 on DOOR WEATHERSTRIP FRONT? But I'm not sure what I'm looking for, so I can't be positive.

That was the guide I followed to remove the door panel, the last picture is where I noticed I was missing something. This clip is what is missing, and for the life of me I can't find it by keyword and can't find a part number.

I had to replace that center clip a while back. Here's the part:

It's a "female" clamp thing that the large metal tab behind the door pull inserts into.

@shogun: that actually looks like the metal tab attached to the door card, I do have that. Sorry for not being specific. Are you sure# 10 is the female piece and not #8? Your second link looks a lot more like the clips that hold the faux wood door trim pieces on if I'm not mistaken.
@m60power: I do believe that's the one, it slides into a sort of beer-glass shaped hole in the door and attaches to #10 or #2 that is attached to the back of the doorcard?

Thanks a lot guys! I'll be sure to familiarize myself better with realoem's layout so I don't always have to come ask here.

#2 is the metal tab on the back of the door card that inserts into #8. I believe #10 is the plastic tab for the wood trim pieces. Yes, the female piece (#8) slides into that beer glass shaped hole on the metal part of the door.
