I am selling a car I love, but I'm getting a new M3 so it is time to move on. I am the third owner, but the majority of this cars life it was in the care of an aircraft mechanic that has meticulous records of every piece of service that was done to this car. He was the second owner and bought it around 15K miles and owned it until 102K miles. His last big job on the car was rebuilding the VANOS system and the engine runs amazingly.
Since owning the car I have had the windshield replaced, camshaft sensors replaced, engine oil changed, transmission fluid changed, differential gear oil changed, fuel line rebuilt from the filter, a couple belts, a new battery, hood shocks, air cabin filters, and a few other items changed. A couple months ago I had brand new Bilstein PSS9 coilovers replace the stock shocks and springs and while we were doing that all control arms were replaced as well as mounts and sway bar links. The new suspension is adjustable, though it is currently set at 5, so it can be adjusted to be stiffer or less stiff very easily. At that time the lower oil pan gasket needed to be replaced. I have receipts and the shop that has done all of the work has a two year warranty on all work they have performed for me. I also put a new set of Kumho Ventus V12 Evo 2 tires on all around and they probably have 3000 miles on them, so about 85% tread left on them.
If you want to see the records of this car I'll gladly share them. The clutch was replaced at 77K miles and it still feels great.
One of the many interesting options this car was configured with is the Ostritch leather centers of the seats. This is a really tough leather that holds up really really well. It's a rare option and this car has it. You can see all of the other options by going to www.bmwvin.com and putting in the VIN which is: WBSDE93493CF92664
The color is black, but it is metallic and in bright light the car looks like a really dark blue. It's an amazing color. I did have the guys at www.detailwerkz.com do paint correction and apply 22PLE glass coating last year. The paint work has some issues, but all are very small and all around the paint is still in great shape.
You probably won't find another E39 M5 that has zero curb rash on the wheels. These wheels came with the car and look excellent.
Most of these cars have worn out suspension and need work. This car needs nothing. It's an amazing example and has had owners that have loved it.
This car does have a clean blue title and I am in current possession of it.
If you want to come check out the car please send me an email at SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD
