Has anyone gotten the AWD, DSC, ABS Malfunction? Mine just popped up so I went to Autozone - no codes.
But they symptoms are becoming more consistent: at initial start, no codes but immediately after putting it into 1st, the 4X4 warning goes off - coupled with an odd, stuttering and loss of power; after a min or two, it then goes into AWD, DSC, ABS Malfunction. The strange thing is after it signals AWD/DSC/ABS - it drives fine, under acceleration and braking. I'm guessing I have to take it to a dealer now.

Have you done any maintenance lately where the battery was disconnected for a long period of time? I had mine off for a week almost while replacing a valve cover. The same warning went off but it cleared itself up within about half an hour of driving

I would try a better scan tool. One with BMW specific software.
Correct. Autozone cheap scanners can't scan the DSC module.

Might be low voltage.
Check battery voltage before and after starting.
Use DMM or unlock OBC and use test 9.

Mine has been doing the same thing after I replaced the rear bearing with a non dealer rear bearing . Switched it to a bearing from the dealer all lights are gone
Replaced battery, let is sit overnight and all the errors are gone! Keeping fingers crossed. Would anyone know why a "low battery" notice doesn't go off first?

The first symptom of a failing battery in my '08 was constantly having to reset the time. In my '03 Z4 all the warning lights would come on.
Dunno, but battery problems on our E60's can trigger a whole slew of unrelated codes. Usually the first bit of advice in these situations (battery codes and other unrelated codes) is to charge/replace the battery and clear the codes and see what comes back.
Let's hope this solved it for you!
