Hey guys,

Doing some research to get some power gains on this old girl – a '97 e39 528i M52B28, and I've been told an M50 throttle body and intake manifold can give me some decent numbers, short of dropping some serious cash on M3 cams.

As it's a cable operated throttle body on the '97 I expect an M50B25 throttle body off an e36 would work (and I found one bored out to 68mm).

Anyone on here done it? There are a few old threads but they're not very detailed.

Sure, I could buy a 540 but that would be too easy. I have spent a fortune bringing this car up to near show quality. Paint is now exceptional and it's on some BC coilovers and M paras and I have replaced absolutely everything (but I won't hold my breath!) that can go on these cars.

Cheers!
