Registration is now open for ZFEST 2018, taking place May 23-27 in Branson, Missouri.
Located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains, Branson has long been known for it's musical theaters, but the area has become a major tourist mecca, with museums, amusement parks, shopping, dining and much more. In fact, Branson was listed among the “Top 52 places in the world to travel to in 2018” by The New York Times.
Chateau on the Lake, our host hotel, is taking reservations at our group rates until April 30, 2018. Those rates are available 3 days before and after the event, so you can plan to arrive early or stay late to enjoy all that Branson has to offer. CLICK HERE for detailed hotel reservation information
ZSCCA membership is not required to attend ZFEST, but current members automatically receive a $40 discount off the $160 basic registration fee. Since current membership dues are just $30/year you're ahead of the game by being a member. If you're unsure about your membership status, we recommend you log in at zscca.org to check, renew or join before registering for ZFEST.

I will be there Eric! ZFest number 10 for me and the wife! can't to meet up with old friends and meet some new ones!
Wow, this looks like a lot of fun.
One quick question...how do you get your suitcase there?
You must be very good at Tetris. I've travelled cross country with suitcase and a cooler in the trunk
I'm in, just booked the hotel....Never been to the Ozarks but have heard it's very cool. I need my new ZSCCA membership status confirmed before I register for the event - Is that usually a pretty quick process? Check was mailed a couple days ago.
Also, How are reservation for the riverboat and banquet dinners purchased - is that done while registering for ZFEST?
The normal delay in membership processing is a few days (all volunteer staff, etc) but sending a check will delay it a few more. If you haven't heard anything by the end of next week, email membership@zscca.org
You got it right - Branson Belle and Saturday Dinners are selected when you register.
Regarding packing.. use all your space, including behind the seats. Plan to do laundry during the trip. Think about shipping the things you buy home. I have a Coupe with a bit more room, but we had several people in Roadsters come along with us on the Z to Shining Sea Roadtrip last summer. Coast to Coast and 20 days on the road! It can be done

I'm in and ready to go. I can lead a caravan out of Wichita if anyone is heading through this way (we'll be driving through the western ozarks to get there)
Great! if you wouldn't mind... email convoys@zfest.com with your contact and general itinerary and we'll add yours to the list.
For others reading- This particular ZFEST has struck an unusual cord. We have cars registered from both coasts and all points in between, plus Canada. One member is flying in from Australia to participate in their 2nd ZFEST.
There are a few convoys listed here: http://zfest.com/convoys.aspx

I registered last week. I'll be driving down from Chicago on the morning of the 22nd. I'd like to connect with a Chicago convoy. Are there any Chicago groups heading down that day?
Before everyone goes, watch Ozark season 1 on Netflix.
Can we stay at the Blue Cat Lodge?
Is anyone able to give me an idea of what the banquet is like?
I'm interested in dinner on the riverboat but am guessing the banquet isn't my thing.
The banquet generally starts with a cocktail hour as people gather. One of the board members will make some brief welcoming comments, then we'll eat.
After dinner, we will begin our annual awards presentations. This is where we celebrate all the volunteers that make ZSCCA tick, after that, we do awards for any competitions that happened at ZFEST. (Concours, etc) This typically takes 30 minutes or so. The last two years have featured a hair-loss demonstration or a similar stunt to raise money for charity
The last official item of the evening is to announce the location of the next years ZFEST- there is often a video or slide-show that accompanies that announcement, maybe another 10 minutes total.
Entertainment is sometimes offered, but varies year to year depending on sponsorship and attendance. (it has not been determined yet for 2018)
Our charity silent auction is moved to the banquet hall for the evening, and is closed out at the end of the evening. Winning bidders pay for their items.
The one thing that most attendees agree about- The banquet is that one last chance to spend time with friends old and new before everyone heads home. To the point where folks complain if the awards take too long.
