E36 m52 supercharger

I plan on s/c my 328is.I was wondering if any other will fit. Like 5 series or M series. Just for curiosity whats different about the M3 an non m3 supercharger bracket??

M3 and 328i systems are the same. The tune will be a little different. Your 328i is OBD2.

I figured the bracket and everything was the same. I knew the tune would be off even though both are obd2. I just didn't know why it shows kits for m3 and 328is even though they are the same kit.

Because kit makers are selling the kits with the tune and tunes vary for 2.8L vs 3.2L.

Ok. Now will the e46 bracket and also s54 stuff work. I figured blocks were same but piping different

No, E46 supercharger kits don’t fit E36.

Ok,thanks i was looking at this kit. I think its for an e46. Looking at bracket.

Maybe the M52TU/ M54 brackets do fit an M52, but if so, some of the rest may not fit. The intake manifolds were different, the engines are dual vanos not single vanos, and there are probably other differences that could change fit and clearances. I would call AA to ask before buying.

Thanks,I looked at oil reservoir looked like e36,but im not gonna take a chance.
