I guess this is my kickoff, Bought the M3/4/5.
I've acquired what appears
* Dinan Supercharger V2
* RMS aftercooler.
* 6" & 3ish”pullies (guessing 9-11psi)
* Porsche MAF
* 42lb injectors
Still Saving for the following
* Electric Fan
* ECM tune
for now I'm just going through the VF and Dinan installation instructions and getting a shopping list together.

Is this really the bracket I need???
Question people: I'm trying to figure out why I need a VF or Dinan front manifold support bracket.
Both sets of instructions say to “discard the the OEM front support” then step 17. Install the replacement intake manifold support bracket in the original location
But I have no idea a how modified it really is because there is not photo.
VF says I need the part pictured below, which would be fine, but they didn't sound very confident so before I pay $85 I thought i'd inquire with people who have done it.

Plenty of people don’t use either intake manifold support bracket—there are 2 but I would fit at least 1 if you can. I lean on the intake sometimes while working on the car. You have a Dinan kit with rms intercooler so I don’t know which you need. I think so just removed the front (towards the front of car) support. As I recall, that may make room for relocating the PS reservoir. You don’t need to buy anything.
Thanks. I’ll save my $

Next Question. What is this? I'd guess its a cheap check valve of some kind? It is missing from my pile of stuff and need to order one.

Nice another SC e36 in Colorado! I'm wrapping up my Dinan stage 1 install on my 95 m3. Your last picture is an inline filter for the CCV system. You should look into running a s62 oil separator there instead. Seems to be a better setup. This tread has a little info on the CCV setup. https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...-Control-Valve
The filter is just a fuel filter but I forget the application. You need one you can modify to the hose diameter. But most of us deleted that as noted above and went to a catch can.
Just a warning that pulley config will likely result in the backside of the belt rubbing against the center shaft of the s/c belt tensioner. You can see here where I clearanced it and it needs even more.
Get rid of all that filter and valve crap Dinan uses. Plug the manifold side oil separator port and run an S62 oil separator or something like this catch can I made. Both drain back to the oil pan and do not vent to atmostphere. (can is yet to be powdercoated to match the Dinan pipes and the hoses are just temporary till I find something nicer)
If you're missing anything hit me up. I have most all the parts for Dinan kits.

In your first pic you seem to be missing the rear charger bracket brace.
Yep another part I’m missing.
Questions:
1. How is that catch a can solution better that the Dinan crap, or just more attractive?

The Dinan valves are known to fail. When it goes wrong you’ll suck all of the oil out of your pan into the motor. Under normal operation their solution also doesn’t keep oil out of the intake. A proper catch can is one of the only ways.
The Dinan valve is a Ford part. I had a Dinan kit years ago and remember tracking down that 3 way valve. But I agree with going to a baffled catch can. The Burger is very good.
Looks like I'll be going with a bracket and a catch can from braymond141 once I embezzle some money from my family
He does the Dinan system very nicely. He should come up with an Intercooler kit and tune.
Hey braymond141 what bypass valve do you use?
I'd like to ask you about pulley sizes too if you dont mind
glad to see people still running these setups!
I don’t really want 11psi on a car w/out a new head gasket and some other enhancements. So if anyone wants to swap pulley setups message me.

I have new Vortech 3.64 pulley
Wanna swap for a 3.5” ?? Where you think my boost will be with my 6” crank pulley?
Ill hit you up for a bracket too
