No power to starter after impact... Help...

87' 325e - Help please... Front driver's side collision. Other than front drivers side damage, head light assembly, undercarriage, and front bumper, it looks good. I have power to everything except the starter... is there a kill switch? It was running when after the wreck but of course i turned it off. And i can't get it to start again. I've owned her for 17 years and just started working on her myself in the last 3 but i have to get it corrected before Florida tries to total the title...

Is your engine ground strap intact?

    No e30s, again :(
maybe the starter is dead? what does the car do when you turn the key? does the start turn the motor over or nothing happens? if nothing, pull the starter and have it checked
    No e30s again.

The car doesn’t turn over at all when I turn the ignition. Would the impact have killed it? I think I replaced it last year... 🤔

It connects one of the motor mount arms to the unibody. Without that, your starter doesn't have a connection to the battery.

You can put a jumper cable from the intake to a fender or body bolt to test if the ground strap is not connected, or broken. Just clamp from some part od the enginy to the body, metal to metal and no paint on body side.

Also, check all your fuses and that fusible link in the back, on the power line from the battery
