I recently replaced the oil filter housing gasted on my '03 Z4 (M54 3.0i). Soon afterward, I began noticing a squeak/squeal, which I believe to either be one of the belts or pulleys. After looking at it for a while, I'm pretty sure the culprit is the pulley underneath of the alternator pulley. For M54 engines with hydraulic power steering, this pulley would be the power steering pump pulley.
However, since the Z4 has electric power steering, there is no power steering pump pulley.
So, my question is: what is the name/part number of the pulley that is in it's place?
Thanks; It looks like the pulley that goes in place of the power steering pump pulley on the Z4 is called the "deflection pulley" (BMW part no. 11287509508). Not sure why I had so much trouble finding that - really appreciate the link!
If it has two replace them both
