Hi guys,
So for BMW recalls they're supposed to pay for ALL the rental car expenses you incur due to the recall right? including gas, rental car fees and insurance coverage? I had taken my car to the BMW dealership because of the 2017 recall >>>> https://www.dropbox.com/s/r815f0njg2...ecall.JPG?dl=0
At the rental place though apparently the BMW dealership had called it in as a "Service/Warranty Work" instead of "Safety Recall" and the rental car guy said that does not include the insurance coverage for the rental vehicle. However state law says without insurance coverage you cannot drive the vehicle !!!
What has been your experience regarding these recalls? Is the BMW dealership right or wrong? Is the rental car agency right/wrong? What the heck is the correct facts regarding what BMW covers and what they dont. This is the recall announcement from the government >>> https://www.dropbox.com/s/r815f0njg2...ecall.JPG?dl=0
I also attached it to the post. Thanks in advance for your experienced advice, comments, thoughts, e.t.c

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that they cover the rental fee only. BMW doesn't pay for your gas in your car, so why would they pay for your gas in the rental? Same goes for your car insurance.

Typically your own insurance will cover you when you rent a car. Mine does, so I turn down the rental car company’s insurance. Also, some credit cards will cover you. Check with both.
WTF should BMW pay for your gas? Really
