Hello bfc
I recently received a turbo setup form another member on the forums and am looking at other turbo options. The one that came with the setup is a garrett t3/t4 60trim with the .63 t31 housing. I am seeing that it might run out of steam with the s50 i have(3.0l us). I am considering either switching to the garrett 60-1 .63 or .82 housing. My power goal is between 400-500whp. the setup i received is full including exhaust etc. I was considering building the gt35r i have (have the comp and turbine housings, just need the chra) but i am seeing that it would cause excess work to the exhaust and I'm not really looking to modify the set up all that much.
So i figured the 60-1 would be a happy medium for my power goals and budget. Plus if i go this route i can source the 60-1 and a zf 5 speed(currently has a getrag 250) for the money i'd drop on a gt35r. My dilemma is whether to get the .63 or .82 with the 60-1. I am looking for good streetable power that doesn't choke up top. Not looking for crazy numbers but I want to hang with my buddies ls3 swapped rx7 .
Motor will be receiving a .140mls and arp studs, bottom end will remain stock.
Any insights would be great !
Also if anyone wants the t3/t4 60 trim or has a zf 5speed they're selling, pm me. Turbo is genuine garrett, has zero shaft play and is in great shape.
