Hey Guys,
I researched this forum for similar issues but didn't find exactly similar hence posting it for some advice.
It's 2011 6spd E93 with 94k miles on it. I generally switch to ON position first and then start my car. But when I don't do that ( get in the car, press clutch and start directly), there's a delay of about 2-3 secs before it fires up. Is it the right behaviour ?
Also when the car is driven for sometime and I switch it off and turn it on again( after some time), there's that delay in starting.
But this doesn't happen all the times. It happens like 50% of the times.
Fuel pump was replaced within warranty 2 yrs ago. Plugs and coils are less than a year old. Battery replaced few months ago.
I consider my car as extremely well maintained ( oil change at 7k, walnut blasting done etc) and not sure why it's behaving that way.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Forgot to mention- once it starts up, no problem with idle. It settles down smoothly to 600-650 rpm. Never ever it failed to start-just that it sometimes hesitates for few secs.

Have you had any injectors replaced?
First, enter the last 7 of your VIN to see if you qualify for reimbursement for failing injectors: http://bmw-rp.com/production/bmw/rei...bmw_portal.nsf
What happens is, failing injectors can leak fuel into the cylinder when the car is off resulting in difficult starting.
Thanks.
I checked and I am getting the detail only for FRM module. So I guess the injectors are not covered for my car.
Anyways, I am going to open them up tomorrow just to see if cleaning them can help- otherwise I will plan for the new ones.
