F1 Grid Girls under 'strong review'

Called it months ago while watching a race with my wife.

The girls will eventually either be removed or joined by 'grid guys'.

With the manufacturers, new owners and the FIA clearly siding with political forces that oppose all F1 has represented, we can look forward to more destruction of F1 and its traditions (and let's face it, of European traditions in general).

Some of course will certainly cheer the coming destruction as progress.

Grid girls not okay but racing in Abu Dhabi (UAE) is just fine and dandy.

Check out the women's rights in UAE: https://www.hrw.org/world-report/201...-arab-emirates

Petty petty petty. They want the appearance of political correctness but won't do a thing about actual women's rights.

I'll pay to see Hamster with some midriff wearing guy hovering over him holding an umbrella.

Pretty much. Same goes for the lines of robotic clapping women on the way to the podium staging room after the race.

Upon reflection, I'm hard pressed to think up any notable, for-profit organization which doesn't fall squarely into this category. Frankly speaking, these days, most human beings can be similarly categorized.

One need only virtue signal appropriately to make the list of those harboring socially acceptable viewpoints. Following up with meaningful action is no longer rewarded.

This new groupthink-fueled behavioral pattern is perched atop my list of pet peeves.

    And it's a long list.

    Eddie Jordan?

He'd bring his own knee pads. Driver's will end up having to file for restraining orders.

I'm asking about the people who appear upset about their removal, but I'm sure you knew that already.

Oh, yes, I understand how this works.

The river of socially acceptable faux emotional trauma only counts as currency in one direction. But you knew that already.
