Here is a picture of the 8 Series Concept vehicle from last year's announcement:
And here is a recent production release picture:
From the looks of it, BMW has reduced the impact of the front grill a bit, less chrome, more in line with the current line up yet still pretty wide. Some of you said this was what was holding you back. What do you guys think?
Still a little large, but much much better than before.

Hi
maybe they leave the larger grid for M or top versions?
I actually like the large grid.... same for the mirrors, csi type
Pretty darn close. You and I were going to get one regardless Taylor buddy... so all in no matter what.

...the price of cool ain't cheap!
Initial impression: I’d say it’s definitely “less bad” but still too large for my tastes and detracts from an otherwise beautiful shape. Hopefully it will grow on me by the time I’m ready to buy one at the bottom of it’s depreciation curve in 10-12 years

Something screwy going on here - both of those links have web category "Pornography".

They are pretty hot, but wouldn't call it porn (although if you could see the images, one is on top of the other). You probably have a browser issue. Close everything and clear all your browser history and cookies (I use CCleaner to clear all my crap. It's free). Then run a scan (I use microsofts and malwarebytes). That or your firewall is screwing up something.

It's the firewall.
Viewed thread via my phone and the images are there.
Grille design has been toned down nicely.
Thanks for the assistance, by the way.

Sadly, my next V12 will be a can and a half of V8 Juice with Vodka (I'm poor these days).

Similar for me....short of buying the winning powerball ticket, I'd need to sell the CSi to achieve the Aston, and that ain't going to happen any time soon.

It's the way the doors open on the concept car that taketh me. Right out of Chip Foose's journal. BMW will do very well with this new Eight Series. I wonder if or when we will see an M8?
Speaking of Foose he once owned an 8er as documented himself by leaving his business card under the wiper blade when he saw it parked here in SoCal. Not sure if the current owner still has the car but I saw the car, the signed business card & knew the owner. The car still had the custom Boyd wheels & paint color from Chip's ownership.
1993 850Ci.....18 years & 165,000 miles and counting!
Much better but still makes me think of "Rhino Nostrils"... Most people I've spoken to talk about how "svelte" "smooth" and "unique" the E31 nose is in a positive light and never fail to mention the "blockiness" the G15s (?) nose in a negative sense...
Nooooooo.
Stop messing with the numbers! Evens are coupes, odds are sedans. It’s fine. Leave it alone!

That M8 concept is less than a graceful design. Not a fan.
What "thumbs up" really means
