Can this be done/how hard?

I recently had my 2013 X3 in the shop to fix the window regulators and the dealer gave me a 2018 X1 28i M Sport pkg as a loaner. For the most part I was unimpressed with the vehicle compared to my X3 (too small, not enough power - mine is a 35i - and FWD bias) but I did genuinely like the sport seats, sport steering wheel with paddles and the HUD.

Is it possible to retrofit any of these into my X3? I would expect the HUD to be the least likely/hardest/most expensive but is the wheel/seats a simple replacement job or is this also going to need additional wiring/coding etc?

HUD is nearly impossble, considering you need a new dashboard and the proper windshield. All for kind of a gimmicky thing.

Sports steering wheel is easy enough, as well as the sports seats.

You would need to know how to do the coding (programming) or have someone do it for you.

It's as much a physical swap as it is an electronic configuration for these latter 2.


Wiring is likely the same.
