I just saw these - they are on an individual euro 8 (not here in the US). I did not know these even existed, nor that BMW made these! These are on CC00905.

oh yea
Those are some really bad self engraved versions. The BMW font they used for this it totally off.
Don't know about the 8, but for the E36 you can still get these, or the "BMW Motorsport" variant.

No chance!
BMW’s font (then) is their BMW Helvetica font.
I can’t find a pic of the handle, but the real ones are identical to:

ENGL's don't say BMW - just "Individual" in the same font.
Looks like it should to me.

What "thumbs up" really means
I will check. I would be truly surprised if they looked like that. Again, I have seen the BMW Motorsport handles, and just assumed that BMW would use the same font in all their outings, and the "Individual" text, would look like the Individual doorsills font, just as with Motorsport. Makes the most sense to me.
I have many brochhures, though not much Individual ones, but I'll have a look.
Also, I have seen many bad copies of the "BMW Motorsport" handles, which don't even look close to the original ones (and use the Windows Helvetica font, and if you know where to look, you see where it differs). These Individual ones posted, reminded me of the bad Motorsport copies.

This is what the BMW Individual engraved door handle looks like. Ok without the paint obviously.
This is my car and I am the original owner.
The font is unique hence why it's individual.

^^
Ha!
No the font is not unique and is actually the same BMW Helvetica font as “Motorsport” and like the picture of the sill I posted. So I had the correct font in mind.
But,
thanks to Revtor’s pic of the brochure cover, it all became clear. For the Individual script, BMW used the shadow part of the “Individual” script, explaining the weird shapes. Which is much clearer now thanks to your pic Jim.

The font BMW used at that time is based on Helvetica called BMW Helvetica. So unqiue to BMW, but based on an existing font.
I have it on my home pc and when you type BMW Individual/Motorsport, you get a carbon copy of the pics posted here.
Typing the same in regular Windows Helvetica, it’s very similar, but you can see what BMW changed.

I've used the BMW Helvetica font on the chapter web site...
