    Windshield washer pump

Thinking my washer pump has bit the dust. Question, is it the middle one for the windshield on a 2003 model touring wagon? Looked at a number of vid's but found different answers

    Too easy answer
threre are only two the same size -1 rear one front. If you don't have a volunteer to confirm the middle was not swapped sometime in the past then your ok.
dont forget to replace the seal/ screen on the washer reservoir bucket, otherwise you will be back in there to repair the constant leak.

Thanks for confirming. I changed out the rear pump back in the spring, didn't think far enough into the future and make sure I didn't have to do this again. So it's the center one I'm going to be working on tomorrow

Is there a diagram showing which one is which?
Also, a part # or anything for what associated parts should be replaced at the same time?
    thanks!

Just unplug one and test which one works.

Ya know, I thought about doing just that, then I realized,,you have to remove the pump to take the connector off. When you remove the pump, you take a chance of causing a fluid leak from the tank, unless you have a new grommet. So I really don't want to start into something like this until I know which one I need to work on.

You're afraid to spill some windshield washer fluid??? You're going to replace the pump, yes? It's gonna spill out wether you like it or not. Someone mentioned it earlier, don't forget to clean out the little filter screens while you are on it. Check all of them, debris collects up in the bottle, last time I went into my wagon's to replace the rear pump, it wasn't the pump, it had all kinds of crap in it, and the filter was just clogged up. I checked my 540's washer tank, the filter was clean. But I did pull both tanks off and washed them inside out to be sure.

What a fun time. Got the pump in and as soon as I cranked her up, the plastic tubes going t the squirters started snapping. Got everything patched up, but I know I'm gonna have to replace all those lines shortly. What a fun Sunday afternoon LOL

The washer fluid hose line under the hood pad is a complete kit. Just make sure you order the intensive or NON intensive depending on your application. The hood washer fluid line connection point is on top of the inner fender right near the right hood hinge. Simple R&R. Replace your hood pad at the same time to brighten up the under hood look.

Just replaced mine early Jan, reservoir is filled but keeps popping up on dash "washer fluid low"...new pump works great, wires / connection snug seems fine... anyone had this problem? I keep checking the connection & puzzled as it continues...not sure why when filled full and plug looks good...any ideas what may trigger low fluid on the dash?
