Put your money where your mouth is...

Okay folks, I don't know if everyone is aware that we actually have our very own chapter of the BMW Car Club of America - it is also the only non-geographic and model specific chapter.
As most everyone here can be considered an enthusiast, and some have even made it into the fanatical category (those with more than one, two, three, or even seven 8's - you know who you are!). I would like to ask every E31 owner to do something that will benefit us all, and show that you really are as passionate about the car as many claim to be. If you are not currently a BMWCCA E31 Chapter member, take a moment to join. Aside from making our voice stronger with BMW in Germany, you get a really cool magazine every month, plus many BMW Dealers offer pretty good discounts on parts and services - I have taken advantage of this several times now, and the savings more than offset the yearly membership dues.
If you want the step by step, just follow the direction on the card below - help make a difference.

That’s not really how that works. The spare parts get expensive because the supplier has to get the old tooling out and do s limited run. Here is where strength in numbers is an advantage. Since the run quantity is usual minimum, (because BMW only sees the 100 or so members in the Chapter), the price is naturally higher. If we could show several hundred, the new run might be twice or three times the minimum, which in turn lowers the part price and makes it more interesting for the parts supplier to offer this. See where I’m going with this??

If you are already a BMWCCA member it’s only $16 to add on. It’s the cheapest thing you can do with your E31.

I wish there was a way to join the second chapter (E31) via online... I never seem to have time or remember to call the phone number during the week... I think I've 'tried' to get registered like 3 times in the past year LOL

EDIT: Scratch that, I just logged in and it looks like I was successful at some point, as both my home and E31 chapters are showing on my account page. Whoohoo!

Really? That was my weak excuse for waiting as long as I did. If they fixed it (or it was always possible), I hope they made it clear and easy for folks to do.

I just added the E31 chapter to my membership. I too, took longer to get this done because of the inability to do it on line. if possible, I couldn't figure it out.
