I bought a replacement interior for my E46 M3 since my seats are worn, torn and super stiff.
I bought from a local guy last spring and finally swapped the fronts yesterday only to learn I don’t think the new seats are heated seats. Huge bummer.
> But, the bigger issue is the new seats do not have the female seat belt mechanism.
> Stupidly, I didn’t think to look for these when I bought them. The seller stated they were plug and play and I was so excited to finally be able to get a better set, I overlooked this.
> My question is-
> Can I somehow take the female seat belt parts off the old seat and reinstall on the new ones?
> There are so many parts on the bottoms I’m afraid of undoing something and then ruining my original ones.

> Also the new seat has this wire connector that was unhooked and I cannot figure out what it may be based on looking at the original seats.

The entire tensioner mechanism, which includes the receptacle, the connecting cables (covered by the black accordion boot) and the pyrotechnic mechanism, are all one assembly and can be unbolted and installed into the new seat.

I can't tell exactly, but I'm pretty sure that connector is the one that connects to the top of the tensioner mechanism. The L shaped silver piece immediately above your foot in the third pic.
