As an original owner of my 2004 325i, I encountered a problem that is huge. The car OVERHEATED for the first time ever last week. After taking the car to my mechanic, he told me that the fan blower motor was not working at all. The repair was made and it was not cheap. Less than 24 hours later, the car was running hot. I brought the car back to the mechanic and he gave a further diagnosis. It is the head gasket. The repair as many of you know is very expensive. The car only has 127,000 miles on it, and was always well maintained. I am at this point, not going to make the repair. Probably will sell it for very little or junk it. What's your opinion on this problem? Would you do the same? Thanks.
How long was it overheating? What kind of driving where you doing, ie city, slow, fast, ect.
Also I would find another mechanic, for like a doctor, get a second opinion.
